OUT OF OPTIONS - Fort Atkinson linebacker Jordan Strasburg (33) forces Reedsburg quarterback Chad Mazur (10) to pitch the ball on an option run. The Blackhawks had little answer for the Beavers' quarterback-running back tandem of Mazur and Matt Lennon. JEFFERSON - Led by a tenacious defense the Jefferson High School football team ran its 2010 record to 2-0 following a 27-6 non-conference win over visiting Marshall.

Lakeside, P-E, Creek pick up volleyball victories
In area girls' volleyball action, Lakeside Lutheran blanked its visiting cross-town rival Lake Mills, 3-0. Whitewater was shutout at home versus East Troy while Palmyra-Eagle won a tight match versus Rock Valley rival Clinton. Johnson Creek picked up its first conference win of the year at Hustisford.
